      Background
      • CityBridge with the support of New York City Office of Technology installed 5G towers without notification and input from the residents and Community Board 9 in Brooklyn.

      • The currently proposed locations for 5G towers have not been disclosed to the residents and Community Board 9 in Brooklyn.

      • There are widespread concerns that 5G towers will be constructed at distances considered too close to adjacent buildings, as has already happened on Bedford Ave (see pictured above).

      • 10’ distance of towers to a residence is extremely insufficient and should be revisited as a policy.

      • No sufficient safeguards in terms of effects of emitted radiation/effects on public health, safety and the environment.

      • Whitepaper, written by Wired Broadband, Inc.  (Odette J. Wilkens) provides  background and insights regarding the Link5G Tower deployment and points of consideration for Community Boards.  A must read to understand the danger of these towers in our community.  https://mtopp.org/index.php/2023/03/27/whitepaper-on-nyc-link5g-kiosks-cell-towers/
      • Community Boards all across the city are demanding that these 5-G towers not be placed in their neighborhoods or be removed and not activated!
